This presentation will explain the value of a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) and when a FCE should be requested. We will identify the components of a Return To Work FCE and how it can be used as an effective tool for decision making. We will discuss the concepts of maximal voluntary effort and performance consistency testing, interpretation of an FCE report and how to apply the FCE concepts to real return to work applications.
