The aging of the American population is a social phenomenon that is affecting many aspects of our culture, not the least of which is the workplace. For many SH&E professionals it presents challenges to the ongoing effort to reduce injuries and illnesses. This presentation will provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of the changes in the composition of the workforce, the normal decrements of aging that we all will experience, and the broad impact it is having in the workplace in such areas as fatalities, falls, and ergonomic-related injuries. But more importantly, attendees will learn about sound strategies they can employ that provide immediate and long-term cost benefits to their organizations.
