Respiratory Protection and NIOSH’s Role
This workshop will discuss the role of NIOSH in the certification of respirators used as part of a workplace respiratory protection program. Participants will learn what testing is performed on equipment before it earns the NIOSH-approval, how equipment manufacturers maintain the certification and the consequences when the certification standards are not maintained, and why it is important to use NIOSH-certified products.
